What is a slide rack storage system for bicycles?

A slide rack system helps store multiple bikes efficiently. Each rack slides out individually for easy access and better use of space. Most importantly the system has individual stops that can be adjusted for each bike to prevent any contact between bikes. Ideal for garages, storage rooms, or commercial setups.

What types of bicycles are compatible with your racks?

Cycle Slide Racks was designed to accommodate a wide variety of bikes, for example:

• MTBs with wheels from 20 inch kids bike wheels all the way up to 29 inch and although they haven’t been physically tried yet there is no reason 32 inch wheels wouldn’t fit. Even Fat tire bikes can be made to fit.
• Road, Gravel and commuter bikes of varying tire widths, including those with fenders.
• E-bikes less than 65lbs (30kg) will also work.
• Cargo bikes have NOT been tested and may not fit well if the wheelbase is too long or if equipped with large racks.

Is installation difficult?

Installing the wall rails on studs is the hardest part, and is best done with 2 people (freestanding units are available). The rest is simply fitting and adjusting and is kind of fun. Don’t rush, follow the video instructions and plan on it taking the day.

Can I install the rack into drywall using drywall anchors?

No! We recommend only wall mounting when screwing into wood studs. Free standing units are available.

Do you offer installation services?

If your physical location is near Vancouver Island contact us for a quote. If you are not nearby and are not comfortable doing it yourself we have a step by step installation video that any competent Handy Person can follow.

Can I install this outside?

No! Although the Cycle Slide Rack was designed to have wet and/or dirty bikes stored on it, having the system mounted outside where windblown water could get in the sealed bearings would not be a good idea.

How long does a order take?

Cycle Slide Racks is a small company making custom racks and as such we have an order turn around time of 6 to 8 weeks.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship within Canada and the USA but let us know and we will see what we can do.

What’s your return policy?

Unused and undamaged items in original packaging can be returned at buyers expense within 30 days. Because the rails on these racks are cut to order the initial 30% deposit will not be reimbursed.

Do your racks come with a warranty?

Yes. All slide racks include a 1-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects.
